Zeitschrift für Friedens- und Konfliktforschung // German Journal of Peace and Conflict Studies now at PACS
The "Zeitschrift für Friedens- und Konfliktforschung (ZeFKo)" (German Journal of Peace and Conflict Studies) is the leading peer-reviewed journal on issues of Peace and Conflict Studies in Germany. The journal is published since 2012 on behalf of the board of the "Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Friedens- und Konfliktforschung e.V. – AFK" (German Association for Peace and Conflict Studies) and appears twice a year. Since January 2018, the editorial office is based in Magdeburg, led by Antje Holinski and supported by Johanna Kunz. The editors are Tanja Brühl (Frankfurt a. M.), Christoph Weller (Augsburg), Hartwig Hummel (Düsseldorf) and our head of programme Alexander Spencer (Magdeburg).
The ZeFKo was developed to advance contemporary debates on terminological, conceptual, theoretical, and methodological aspects in fields of research addressing violence, conflict, and peace. It is particularly designed to stimulate interdisciplinary collaboration and controversy within the realm of Peace and Conflict Studies, including perspectives of ethnology, geography, history, pedagogy, philosophy, psychology, law, theology, sociology, politics, literature, and cultural, as well as natural sciences. Additionally, the ZeFKo includes special issues which each address a specific topic within Peace and Conflict Studies and are compiled by Guest-Editors. All articles and literature reviews published in the German Journal of Peace and Conflict Studies pass through a “double blind” peer review process.
More information on the ZeFKo, with a "free access" chapter of each issue, and the special issues can be found on http://www.zefko.nomos.de/.
