Admission
The PACS Master's programme is primarily aimed at BA graduates in the social sciences and humanities, but the degree is also open to applicants from other disciplines. However, a minimum of 30 ECTs must have been obtained in social sciences. Since PACS is a postgraduate degree, students are expected to be familiar with academic research methods.
Applicants with a National Degree
Applicants with a German degree can submit their applications via myOVGU between mid-May and the 15th of July of the respective year of admission. Information on the requirements and the application procedure can be found here.
Applicants with a Foreign Degree
Applicants who obtained their degrees outside Germany have to submit their applications via uni-assist between the 15th of April and the 15th of July of the respective year of admission. Information on the requirements and the application procedure can be found here.
Applicants for the Helmut-Schmidt-Programme
PACS is part of the DAAD Helmut-Schmidt-Programme (Master's Scholarship for Public Policy and Good Governance). Applicants that want to apply for the scholarship can find information on the requirements and the application procedure here.
Decisions on successful applications are made based on the submitted documents. The PACS Master's programme starts in the winter term of the academic year only.
